DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID!!! STAY AWAY FROM RING CENTRAL!!

Initially, after some research, we landed on ring central, and started a trial period. Boy, what a mistake that was! Anytime we needed help, tried to contact customer service, or sales rep, etc., it felt like WE were bothering THEM, and it was incredibly difficult (hours waiting for a customer service rep, for example) to get anywhere. After their p*ss-poor customer service and tech support, we cancelled our trial with them, BUT OUR OFFICE PHONE NUMBERS (older than I am) WERE PORTED ANYWAY, and they WOULD NOT release them back to us until we paid another $100 or so for another month of their “service”. “My numbers were ported over, despite our cancelling your service”. Following that, they then proceeded to bill our account almost $1,000 for the year, despite our cancelling with them.

If you like horrible, overpriced, poorly run businesses, with shady business practices, Ring Central is THE company for you! I sent this very same message to EVERY Ring Central executive email I could find… not ONE response. “OK! I’ll spend the rest of my life telling people how S***** your company is, and encouraging anyone and everyone I meet to look elsewhere!

Cannot say enough bad things about this company.

Only use Ring Central if you are a dedicated super user, geek, or you want to become a full time phone system expert. They do not supply good customer support for most languages and most cultures. They do NOT follow-up on problems or complaints. They lock you in contracts no matter what they promise verbally. You will be on your own after you sign a contract with Ring Central. We have a Xerox FAX that they charge for, sold us extra equipment for and it still does not work after months and months.

Pros: Powerful system.
Cons: No helpful support.

Great phone service! I use the softphone on a windows laptop and it couldn’t be better. I can click a phone number on a browser and route it to Ring Central. The texting feature was a bit of a hassle to setup with the new government rules on business text messages but that wasn’t Ring Central’s fault.

We’ve had Ring Central for some time now and we have appreciate the technology and reliability that they offer. They were the first to offer SMS/MMS text messaging feature. When times were simpler there was less regulation but we are still happy with one number to call, text, and fax. Customer support is responsive and helpful.

We have ha RC for 3 years. Our business started with 2 people and has grown far beyond that with multiple locations. RC has allowed us to grow, track our staff activity and it integrates into our other tech to save extra steps.
We utilize the auto receptionist and have ring groups set up to save time for our staff. Texting has also been a game changer.

Pros: Scalable, reliable, good service.
Cons: Can be confusing at first- a lot of options to choose from.

Set up is kind of a hassle but it works after that. When I got a phone, it was tricky to get it set up on the system. Also, they give you a main number and a direct number but the main number is just a distribution number so it requires you to get a separate line for a receptionist if you plan to have one.

It’s fantastic so far. The interoperability of choosing who calls will go to, the call trees, the ease with which you can add lines – it all makes managing a small business easier.
