Information About Meerschaum Museum
Meerschaum Museum has become the first address of local and foreign tourists who come to visit the historical Odunpazarı Houses . The intense interest from the tourists has greatly affected the region. The aim of Odunpazarı Municipality through this museum is to introduce and market the meerschaum to the world again.
The first works of the Meerschaum museum were provided by the Provincial Special Administration, with the works exhibited in the international Meerschaum festival and competitions organized every year by the Eskişehir Governor’s Office. There are over 400 works made by around sixty artists in the Meerschaum Museum.
In the museum, you can find many objects made of meerschaum. There are especially meerschaum pipes and jewelry made of meerschaum, and figurines.
